Full name is Arron Agustin Afflalo…Has three sisters and two brothers… Majored in sociology at UCLA…Active in the Pistons’ community relations program, did a series of morning interviews to help promote the Pistons Cares Telethon benefitting the Michigan Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation on March 14, 2008…The telethon raised over $400,000 to help grant wishes for youngsters in the greater Detroit area…Teamed with fellow rookie Rodney Stuckey to provide 25 tickets to each Pistons home game last season and donated to charities in the metro Detroit area…Has expanded the program this year creating the “Student Academic Challenge” in conjuction with the Pistons Community Relations Department…He will provide 500 tickets to six games this season for students demonstrating consistent academic achievement.
